Today we celebrate the formation of one of the iconic US car manufacturers AMC. On the 14th of January 1954, 77 years ago, the Hudson Motor Car Company merges with the Nash-Kelvinator Corporation, Kaisers Jeeps, Kaisers Motors and Willys Overland forming the American Motors Corporation AMC. AMC built such iconic cars as the Rambler, the Gremlin, the Pacer, the Hornet, and the Javelin. In the 1974 James Bond Movie “The Man with the Golden Gun” – the famous bridge jump scene was done with a modified Hornet X Hatchback. Today we celebrate this iconic company that was incorporated into Chrysler in the 1990’s with an iconic AMC Pacer, known from Waynes World …
